If you're looking for an absolutely perfect job, then maybe this isn't for you. However, the quality is still good and worth listening to. Very simple, fast, and free.<br /></div><div>Next, take the song you want to remove the lyrics off of and make sure that it's a stereo MP3. On the left side of the screen, you're going to see a big gray block that has buttons like "Mute" and "Solo", sliders for volume and balance, etc. There should be a title bar on that box showing the name of your song.<br /></p><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5324689545834052802" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 97px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 267px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_p1HLnKiwaLs/SeUY7jasvMI/AAAAAAAAACk/FDGlygtEDdo/s400/panel.bmp" border="0" /></p><br /><p>Click the arrow (highlighted in red above) and select "Split Stereo Track" from the list. This should create two separate waveforms that are for left and right audio channels. The top timeline is for the left ear, and the bottom is for the right. They both play at the same time for the same song. Look at the bottom one, (for the right ear), and click &amp; drag from the very beginning to the very end of the timeline to select the entire song on this channel. Still selected, go to Effect>Invert. This inverts the track channel for this ear only.</p><p>Now that you have two gray boxes for two separate channels, select the arrow for the bottom channel and select "Mono" from the list. Repeat for the other channel.</p><p>Finally, the last step is to export the finished file. Choose File>Export As WAV...</p><p>A warning message will pop up stating that the tracks will be merged into one mono channel. Simply press "OK". Save the file to wherever you want it. You're done!</p><p>--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p>What we did by inverting one channel and not the other is that we created an opposite Hertz level on one channel from the other. By having an opposite Hertz against another Hertz level, the noises cancel each other out equally, and you can no longer hear the sound. This is what we did with the lyrics. Also, the reason we exported as WAV and not MP3 is to retain as much quality as possible without damaging the channels we altered before. If need be, export as WAV normally, and then convert to MP3 later.</p><p>Please note that this doesn't work with <em>all </em>songs, but it does work on most. You may notice that some songs have a slight decrease in quality, and some lyrics may just randomly blurt out. For thoseof you who don't know, CMAT stands for Computer Multimedia and Animation Technology. It is a class that I am currently enrolled in, and what you do is you work with 3DS Max, (a 3D modeling program), Flash, Photoshop, and several other design-based software.<br /><br />What I did today is started to create a Pearl Drum Set, and so far I have gotten the bass drum, (or kick drum), finished. I still need to add a few more details on the kick pedal there, and I will soon be finished with this part. Hopefully, next time I am able to work on this, I will either start work on the snare drum (preferrably Piccolo Snare for atmosphere) or maybe the ride cymbal.
